Insinkerator LogoInSinkErator is being sold to Whirlpool Corporation for $3 billion, with the transaction expected to complete during the final quarter of this year.

The inventor of food waste disposers, and a major player in the specialist kitchen tap market, was founded in 1938 and acquired by Emerson in 1968.

Ashley Munden, Managing Director, EMEA at InSinkErator (pictured below), said the brand is entering a new chapter in its “rich and continuing history”.
