Winners announced for the TCG Awards 2020

Dyson and Harman were the big winners at the recent TCG Awards 2020, which was held online alongside the TCG Summit Leaders Talk.

Earlier this month, participants from more than 30 countries watched as several leaders in the consumer electronics industry were awarded for their impressive performance and innovation throughout 2019.

This year’s winners were:

  • Category Specialist: HARMAN
  • Technology Innovation: Dyson
  • Sustainability: Electrolux
  • Leadership: Carsten Olesen, President, Consumer Audio, HARMAN International
  • Brand of the Year: Dyson
  • Retailer of the Year: M.video

The TCG Awards is the only awards event in Europe that is assigned to industry partners by the top managers of leading international CE retailers.

A new addition this year was the Retailer of the Year award, which is given by the strategic partners of the TCG Summit. The winners was M.video, one of the leading electronics retail chains in Russia, which impressed the Grand Jury with its advanced omnichannel implementation.

During the online event, TCG Summit Chairman, Chris Buecker, also announced the date for the next physical TCG Summit. It will take place on October 5-7 2021 in Budapest. The TCG Summit is the leading international congress of the CE industry.

Mr Buecker commented: “What makes the TCG Awards so unique and valuable is that these awards are decided by the top executives of the leading tech retailers in Europe. The TCG Awards are not sponsored and they are not influenced by any company or individual. The winners are chosen by the individual judgement of each Grand Jury member.”
