Combined Independents (Holdings) Ltd (CIH), part of Euronics, has announced that Paul Tyler will be stepping down as CEO from 4 April 2025.
Mr Tyler joined CIH in January 2022 and has worked tirelessly for the last three years to deliver support to its members.
Following a long and successful career with BSH, Miele, and 10 years working as an independent electrical retailer, Mr Tyler’s industry knowledge and passion for independent retail has always been what has driven his career and has been witnessed in his role as CEO of CIH.
CIH Chairman, Steve Scogings, said: “In only three years, Paul has made a significant difference to the business and has instilled a fantastic team ethic within the staff of CIH. He has overseen a revolution in our website and marketplace offering, created a new team dedicated to supporting members, and introduced exciting new partnerships with Fair For You and Trust Power.
“His understanding and support in what we do as members has allowed us to achieve industry recognition with Which? and Feefo. Paul has always been a total professional in his extensive career and will continue to support CIH until April next year to complete current projects.”
ERT recently reported on CIH’s launch of two new home appliance own-brands into the UK market – read the full story here – which Mr Tyler spearheaded alongside a small team within CIH.
“CIH is in a great place, and much of that is because of the vision, hard work and commitment that Paul has shown to the business,” Mr Scogings added.
“Euronics continues to lead the way in delivering exceptional services and advocacy, and under Paul’s leadership we are delivering unparalleled value to CIH members. We wish him all the best for the future.”
