Miele unveils its Generation 7000 series

Miele has launched its new Generation 7000 series of appliances. The biggest launch in the Company’s 120-year history, this series has taken 72 months to develop, covers 15 separate product groups, involves 10 different factories and encompasses 353 models.

Over 3,500 of Miele’s top retail partners from around the world have attended the specially created ‘Miele Plaza’ at the Company’s headquarters in Gütersloh, Germany (pictured below). Every visitor has taken part in an immersive, fully interactive and culinary experience to understand first-hand the thinking behind and benefits of each new product range. The event continues at the Miele Experience Centre in Abingdon for UK centric kitchen studios and partners.

Neil Pooley, category manager for kitchens for Miele GB, said: “The Miele philosophy is to always be ‘Immer Besser’ – forever better. Everything we do is based on the premise that it will improve the lives of our customers. The new Miele Generation 7000 series sets new standards in terms of design, intuitive ease of use, accuracy and technology innovation to deliver outstanding performance. The feedback from everyone who has seen the new series so far has been incredibly positive and we look forward to installing the new products in kitchen studios and partners’ showrooms from 17 May 2019.”

Key highlights of Miele Generation 7000

There are now four updated built-in design lines to choose from, each available at four price points depending on specification. New VitroLine is the highlight available in Graphite Grey (pictured above), Obsidian Black and Brilliant White with the ovens featuring an all glass front and colour coded, ergonomic handle with a distinctive glass inlay design detail. The display panel is touch control across all models and intuitively guides the user through the cooking process with a plethora of automatic programmes to eliminate guesswork.

The cooking process can be adjusted or extended via the Miele@Mobile app on a mobile device or voice control using Alexa.

Another new innovation exclusive to Miele is TasteControl, allowing food to remain in the oven without overcooking.

New SmartSelect zoneless induction hobs (pictured left) with intelligent pan recognition have also been introduced enabling pans to be placed anywhere without temperature adjustments needing to be made. These are designed to work in unison with compatible Miele extraction hoods using Miele’s Con@ctivity technology, ensuring the right amount of extraction automatically and switching off when the hob is no longer in use to save energy.

The new Miele DA7078 Aura 3.0 is a distinctively designed recirculation cooker hood with Con@ctivity 3.0 built-in.

Miele’s famous built-in coffee machines have been completely redesigned on the inside to offer a choice of three types of coffee beans plus the machines have an integral Miele de-scaler cartridge and are now fully self-cleaning to make life easier.

Miele’s best-selling Combination Steam Oven has also been improved to deliver enhanced usability and performance and is now also available with a microwave feature reducing cooking time by up to 48 per cent.

Almost every component in Miele’s new G7000 dishwashers has also been completely remodelled. The result is increased capacity and flexibility and the opportunity to use Miele’s new Auto Dos PowerDisk – which dispenses the optimum amount of advanced detergent completely automatically for up to 20 washes.

Miele will be offering all retail partners the opportunity to attend its award-winning training sessions on Generation 7000 to truly maximise understanding and sales opportunities.
