You can enter online in three simple steps. Simply click below and find your relevant form. There, select your category or categories and supply your entry statement, supporting information and media. And then submit!
For retailers – it’s important you write a great entry statement and provide any additional relevant information, such as your background, about your business and shopfloor, your digital platforms, your staff or your customer service. All this goes in front of our expert judging panel for consideration, so make it hard-hitting and concise!
For manufacturers – it’s the retailers that will decide which products and services win; they will vote via our dedicated online platform. Make sure you provide as much information as you can and some attractive imagery.

As before, categories include both retailers and manufacturers/suppliers to cover all corners of the industry and give as many people the opportunity to get involved.
But this year, there are also TWO NEW CATEGORIES!
Firstly, on the retailer side, Best Sustainable Independent Electrical Retailer will be awarded to an independent electrical retailer that demonstrates initiative and proven positive adaptation to their business in order to be more sustainable and energy efficient.
Meanwhile, the second new category is Best Manufacturer/Supplier Sustainability Initiative. This recognises the efforts of brands to encourage positive, ‘greener’ change across the industry, whether it’s expanding their range of energy efficient products, a consumer-facing sustainability campaign to help raise awareness, or changes made to their own operations to help reduce their carbon footprint.
Jack Cheeseman, Editor of ERT magazine, commented: “Sustainability is at the forefront of most consumers’ minds when they are browsing new home electricals and where to buy them from. Many brands are growing their choice of eco-friendly products and this is also being reflected in retailers’ stores as they encourage more sustainable purchases.
“As a key event in the industry’s calendar we are excited to introduce these two new categories to reward the efforts being made by everyone across our industry to reduce their environmental impact.”
All the other usual categories will be up for grabs again this year, celebrating everything from small independent retailers to individual store colleagues, and the latest product innovations and brand representatives. Here’s the judging criteria for each of the categories.
