Electrolux has appointed Chris Ibbitson as its new Channel Head for its Housebuilder’s and Contracts team.
Mr Ibbitson brings a wealth of experience with him from the UK housebuilding and kitchen industry, having held a variety of leadership positions at Travis Perkins over the last nine years, most recently as Head of National Sales. He joins Electrolux to further develop the brand’s contract channel strategy across housebuilder, projects and distribution as well as support the growth of Zanussi, Electrolux and AEG brands, following a very successful H1.
Gordon Dawson, UK Head of Head of Kitchen Retail and Contracts for Electrolux, said: “We’re delighted to have Chris on board, he’ll be a great asset to the business as we build on the great momentum we have gained during the first half of 2019. As part of our UK strategy we’re continuing to focus heavily on the housebuilder market, hence why Chris will be coming in to lead the team.
“We’ve also made a significant investment into the UK aftersales and technical support team. This includes a multimillion pound investment in IT infrastructure, and over 60 new staff recruited into our UK contact centre from 1 July 2019. We recognise that for housebuilders great consumer service is key, and this investment demonstrates our long term commitment to the industry.”
Mr Ibbitson added: “I am thrilled to join Electrolux at such an exciting time.
