Panasonic enters the smart speaker race at IFA

Panasonic has taken the wraps off a number of new products at this year’s IFA show in Berlin (September 1-6).

New products on display include the brand’s biggest OLED TV range to date, the GA10 smart speaker with fully integrated Google voice assistant, premium RP-HTX80B Bluetooth-enabled wireless headphones, and the Technics SP-10R Reference Class Direct Drive turntable.

Spearheading its OLED range will be Panasonic’s largest ever OLED screen, the 77in EZ1002. While the latest generation of LED models will feature next-generation processing, enhanced LED lighting and the latest LCD panels.

Going head-to-head with big players already in the smart speaker market, Panasonic’s GA10 smart speaker (pictured) also boasts hi-fi audio quality as well as Google’s voice assistant to help users with their productivity.

The HTX80B headphones are the latest edition to the brand’s wireless headphone range and incorporate cutting-edge technology with a retro design. They all offer Bluetooth wireless connectivity and hands-free mobile use with up to 20 hours of playing time.

The latest flagship turntable from Technics – the SP-10R – is said to combine the most advanced digital and analogue technologies, with “impressive” signal-to-noise ratio, rotational stability and wow and flutter. It has a separate power supply for its new coreless direct drive motor and an extra-heavy [7kg] three-layer platter.
