Have your say on the future of electrical retailing: ERT Awards 2018

Independent retailers are being asked to have their say on the future of the industry, as part of ERT ’s ongoing Turning Point campaign, which is aimed at revitalising the electrical retailing sector.

ERT  has teamed up with field marketing agency Gekko to carry out a survey of the UK’s electrical retailers to find out how they’re adapting their businesses, making the most of new opportunities and planning for the future.

Are you embracing the latest smart-home technology, revamping your showroom, investing in your website, renting products to the millennial generation, adopting an omni-channel strategy, or looking at selling kitchen furniture? Now’s your chance to let us know.

The results of the survey will be revealed at this year’s Turning Point Live! event, incorporating the ERT Awards 2018, on October 1, at the Grand Connaught Rooms, in London’s Covent Garden.

As part of the survey, retailers will also be asked to vote for their favourite independent sales rep, based on criteria including reliability, support, product knowledge and their ability to understand a dealer’s business. The Independent Sales Rep of the Year award is sponsored by Retra and the winner will be revealed on October 1.

If you are a retailer, look out for an e-mail early next week from ERT editor Sean Hannam and Gekko about how to take part in the survey and cast your vote. The deadline for responding to the survey is midday on June 15.

If you respond to the questionnaire, you will be entered into a prize draw for the chance to win a pair of tickets for this year’s ERT  Turning Point Live! event, featuring The ERT Awards 2018. Two lucky readers will win one pair of tickets each.

Turning Point Live! will shine a light on best practice in the electrical retail sector.

Before the awards ceremony, there will be a full morning of conference-style sessions, featuring proactive electrical retailers sharing their experiences, advice and views on the best ways to do business, make the most of new opportunities and ensure a healthy future for the industry.
