Canon has added two new models to its Powershot camera line-up.
The G5X camera is said to be ideal for serious photography enthusiasts seeking professional levels of DSLR-like control and quality. It has a 25mm wide-angle, ultra-bright f1.8-f2.8, 4.2x zoom lens and nine-blade aperture. It has a high-resolution OLED electronic viewfinder for maximum comfort and its vari-angle flip-out touch-screen helps take unique shots from a variety of angles.
The Powershot G9X is intended for those wanting to unleash their creativity with a pocket-sized camera capable of capturing spontaneous moments. Its 28mm wide-angle f2-f4.9, 3x optical zoom lens allows the capture of sharp, highly-detailed images. It is 25 per cent slimmer than the G7X model and should suit photographers seeking quality images while shooting on the move. The 3in high-resolution touch-screen gives simple fingertip control, with easy access to camera settings and functions.
Both models feature full HD movie footage at 60p, with full control over aperture, shutter speed and ISO. The Powershot G5X is priced at £629.99 and the G9X at £399.99.
