Siemens’s latest washing machine and dryer can now be operated using the multiTouch LED display.
The sensor technology on the Avantgarde iSensoric washing machine tailors every wash to calculate how much detergent, water and energy to use. It also chooses whether to focus on speed, stain removal or select the Textile Guard setting to apply a waterproof layer to breathable fabrics and all-weather gear.
The new myTime option can also be used to adapt the length of the washing program to the individual’s needs. It also offers an energy-saving program, called ecoPerfect, which Siemens claims makes it 50 per cent better than the threshold value for the highest energy efficiency class A+++.
The machine is available initially through John Lewis only and then it will be rolled out to the wider retail market from the end of June. Price is around £1,249.
