Best known for its photo processing software, DxO has introduced the DxO ONE camera, which can be attached to iPhones or iPads to deliver “professional-quality” results.
No larger than a typical digital SLR hand grip, the DxO ONE has a 20.2 megapixel 1in sensor and its fixed lens offers a focal length of 32mm (equivalent) and a maximum aperture of f1.8. It connects to the Lightning connector on an iPhone or iPad.
The company says it is ideal for sharing photos in an instant and excels in low-light portrait photography. It is claimed to produce images of a higher quality than most smartphones.
As an introductory offer, the DxO ONE is being offered at £449 with lifetime free licences to the company’s DxO OpticsPro Elite (sold separately for £159) and DxO FilmPack (worth £99) software.
