Italian brand Smeg has announced that its appliances are now available in famous London department store Harrods.
More than 70 products are on display, including a wide selection of Smeg’s latest built-in ovens and freestanding cookers, such as the Dolce Stil Novo collection and the Portofino range cooker.
Also on show are products from the brand’s collaboration with fashion house Dolce and Gabbana, including a collection of exclusive, hand-painted fridges.
Consumers will also be able to purchase products from Smeg’s growing SDA family, which comprises coffee machines, citrus and slow juicers, kettles, toasters, blenders and stand mixers.
The Smeg display area has oak floors, as well as cream walls that are emblazoned with the company’s branding in steel. Lifestyle displays incorporate contemporary, glass finishes and copper detailing.
A team of trained and experienced staff are on hand to discuss the products with consumers.
The announcement comes as Smeg reveals its support of the Harrods Art Partners campaign.
As part of the month-long art project, which launched on April 10, a special Smeg and Dolce and Gabbana gallery-like window display is on show at Harrods. There are also other displays in the Harrods Cookshop.
Later this year, Smeg will unveil its first ever retail store, on Regent Street St James’s.
