Samsung has launched its new QLED and The Frame TVs at a global launch event in Paris.
The latest QLED TVs (pictured) have been designed with “the consumer in mind” and focus on addressing three “pain points”, by applying solutions it calls Q Picture, Q Style and Q Smart.
Q Picture encompasses the perfect combination of light and colour, with the QLED range featuring new quantum dot technology to achieve “next level advancements” in light efficiency, stability and a wider colour spectrum.
Q Style features the introduction of new design elements that can fit into any home. This includes the new near-invisible connection cable as well as the no gap wall-mount accessory.
And finally, Smart Q focuses on Samsung’s smart hub, which includes the enhanced Samsung One Remote Control, which now supports more devices and offers voice control capabilities across more smart TV features.
Samsung also worked with Swiss designer Yves Behar to create its Frame TV, which was designed to look like a picture frame hanging on the wall when ‘Art Mode’ is on, transforming it from a TV to a work of art.
“At Samsung, we strive to provide our customers with the most advanced technology to deliver unrivalled viewing experiences and cutting-edge designs that complement their everyday lives,” said HS Kim, president of visual display business at Samsung Electronics. “With state-of-the-art style, smart features and picture quality, our 2017 line-up is truly ushering in a new era for television.”
The QLED TV series – which includes the Q9F, Q8C, Q7C and Q7F – will be available to purchase in the UK from the March 29, with pre-orders available now.
