Manchester-based spare parts and SDA supplier Qualtex has acquired Masterpart, which is itself a distributor of spare parts.
Qualtex described Masterpart as “a significant player in the SDA distribution market” and said the acquisition would further increase Qualtex’s share of the global appliance spare parts market.
Qualtex chairman John Hughes said: “We are very pleased to welcome the Masterpart brand into our business. We will expand on the close relationships we have with the company in order to continue the growth of Qualtex on a global scale.”
Qualtex managing director Kirk Whitehead (pictured) commented: “The purchase of the Masterpart brand is a key development in our efforts to grow Qualtex here in the UK and internationally. Masterpart is a crucial investment, particularly as both our brands stem from a core ethos of being able to supply our customers with high-quality spares for a range of domestic appliances and finished goods.”
