LG will use this year’s CES show in Las Vegas (January 6-9) to unveil a raft of new products including ‘Super UHD’ TVs, its most advanced dishwasher ever and X-Boom audio systems and soundbars.
The Korean brand’s latest TV line up includes premium Super UHD models – the 65in UH8500 and 75in UH8550 – with High Dynamic Range (HDR) and an ultra-slim design.
Said Brian Kwon, president and chief executive of LG’s Home Entertainment Company: “We’re confident our newest HDR-enabled Super UHD TVs in 2016 will generate much excitement – not just in the industry, but also with consumers in general.”
LG will also launch its most advanced dishwasher ever – the LDT8786ST – at CES 2016.
The model boasts Truesteam and Multimotion technologies. Truesteam blasts dishes with a high-temperature cloud of steam to provide better washing results and fewer water spots, claims LG, and its Multimotion technology uses an innovative wash arm to deliver more powerful and quicker wash cycles, with a full cycle completed in 59 minutes.
Other features of the model include an inverter direct drive motor, which allows the water spray intensity on each rack to be adjusted, as well as flexible rack configurations, maximising useable space.
Smart functions on the dishwasher allow users to download customised cycles from the LG website and they can notify users when the appliance needs to be cleaned. The dishwasher is also equipped with smart diagnosis, meaning mechanical issues can be discovered remotely, reducing timely and costly home visits.
LG will also be showcasing its latest Music Flow audio products at CES 2016, including the SH8, SH7 and SH6 soundbars and three new X-Boom audio systems with wireless connectivity – the OM7560, OM5560 and CM9960.
Said Mr Kwon: “The Music Flow series has been a tremendous success in giving LG a significant footprint in the consumer audio business.
“Our newest soundbars and X-Boom audio systems present an excellent opportunity for LG to draw attention to its advanced audio products at the largest consumer electronics tradeshow in the world.”
