Jessops opens 51st store in Brighton

Jessops has opened its 51st retail store in North Street, Brighton.

This is the first new store for Jessops in 2016. The opening ceremony took place on Friday, April 22.

Chief executive Neil Old was present at the ribbon cutting to declare the new branch open.

“Our success is a multichannel strategy, within which the high street plays a key role,” said Mr Old. “It is all about giving shoppers choice on how to buy: whether that’s in-store, where they can get hands on experience, by phone, online 24/7, or via the collect-at-store service. And this all comes with the reassurance that prices will be the same across all channels and benchmarked against the leading UK retailers with our ‘Price Match Promise’.”

Mr Old added: “The expertise of our staff also plays a big part in our success. Last year more than 12,000 people enrolled on our nationwide Academy Training courses to build on their photography skills.”

The new Brighton store will offer customers a fully immersive experience in photography where they will be able to touch and test out the latest cameras and technology.

Customers at the Brighton store will be also able to enrol on Jessops’s Academy courses that are available at all levels of user expertise.

Retail operations director Scott Worger added: “Brighton is a city steeped in artistry. So it will come as no surprise that our expert team is made up of trained, passionate photographers that live and breathe the subject. When customers come in they can be assured they are getting the very best advice available. Just like all our new stores, Brighton has been designed to offer an immersive experience in which photography really comes alive through touch and feel. Shoppers can get hands-on with the latest kit and take advantage of the years of practical experience shared by our team.”
