Jaybird sponsors Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon Series

Headphone manufacturer Jaybird has signed a deal to become a sponsor of the Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon Series.

Jaybird is one of event’s three global partners and has been named as the official headphone of the 2016/17 marathon series.

As well as sponsoring the series, Jaybird is also the official partner of the Lucky Finisher programme, which will see five random participants of the event receive a pair of X2 wireless sport earbuds at each event.

Vice-president of communications for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series Dan Cruz said: “Jaybird’s partnership is perfect for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series because it will integrate music into the entire running experience – training, race weekend and our new, innovative post-race Finisher Zone. Our series was founded on live music and entertainment, and now Jaybird is bringing digital audio to the total runner experience.”

The Liverpool leg will take place on May 27-29 and includes a health and fitness exhibition, a marathon, a half-marathon and a 5km run.

The Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon dates back to 1998 and will visit 30 locations worldwide in 2016. It has raised more than $320 million (£226m) for worthy causes.
