Industry supports 2016 ERT Awards

The electrical retailing industry has come out in full force to support this year’s ERT Awards, with Smeg, Magimix and Electrical Safety First all recently signing up as sponsors.

Smeg will sponsor the new Small Domestic Appliances Retailer of the Year award, while Magimix will support the Independent Retailer Website of the Year category. Electrical Safety First will sponsor the Training award.

They now join the already impressive line-up of category sponsors: Amdea, Astra, Blomberg, Freeview Play, Miele, Panasonic, Retra, Roberts Radio, Sony and techUK.

Samsung will sponsor the music quiz, which will take place on the day (Monday, October 17 at The Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden, London), and Yamaha will be sponsoring the welcome drinks reception.

Said ERT editor Sean Hannam: “It’s great to see so many manufacturers, brands and organisations supporting this year’s awards. I’d like to thank all of our sponsors for getting involved with the industry’s most prestigious awards. It’s going to be a brilliant event.”

This year, for the first time, ERT  has teamed up with leading field marketing agency Gekko for the awards.

Retailers who enter will be judged by a panel of industry experts, but ERT and its research partner Gekko will be surveying hundreds of independent retailers to find out their favourite suppliers, sales reps and products.
