Appliance manufacturer Hoover has appointed a new head of marketing to join its small domestic appliance (SDA) team.
Phillip Jones (pictured) brings more than 16 years’ experience to the role and has previously held marketing and category management roles at PC World and Paddy Power.
He will be responsible for driving innovation through Hoover’s floorcare, ironing and steam-cleaning product ranges.
“Hoover floorcare products have an incredible heritage, so much so that people use the brand name day in, day out, when they talk about vacuuming their home,” said Mr Jones. “With such a rich history, spanning over more than century, a huge focus for the next few years is to communicate the many technological innovations in the category and showcase the exciting product developments that we’ve introduced to help make people’s lives easier, such as cordless models.
“It’s an exciting time for Hoover, especially as it continues with its 20:20 Vision and ambition to become the ‘supplier of choice’ and I’m really looking forward to implementing the plans we have in the pipeline.”
Valentino Ricioppo, head of sales and marketing at Hoover, added: “Phillip has a wealth of relevant and transferable experience, most latterly in his position of brand marketing manager. He also understands the many routes to market that our products are available through, so we’re pleased to have him on board.”
