Appliance manufacturer Hoover Candy has won the Sirius Buying Group Manufacturer of the Year award for the third time.
The company competed against 11 other brands to win the accolade, all of which were scored by Sirius members on criteria including deliveries, service, products, innovation, quality and head office support.
Steve Macdonald (pictured), marketing director of the Hoover freestanding division, said: “We’re delighted to have won this award yet again. It’s a real testament to all the ongoing hard work Sharon Hamer, head of the sales team, and our field and office-based teams, put in on a day-to-day basis and is an accolade we’re very proud to have achieved.
“We’ve been a member of the Sirius Buying Group for 14 of the 15 years it’s been established and consider it a key strategic partner for our business and appreciate its ongoing support and recognition.”
The company currently claims to hold a market share of 10.1 per cent in the freestanding sector, with one-in-10 freestanding major domestic appliances sold in the UK being a Hoover or Candy model.
Mr Macdonald concluded: “We thoroughly enjoyed exhibiting at this year’s Sirius exhibition, and winning the Manufacturer of the Year award topped off a great event.
