Hisense launches the market’s first 45in TV

Hisense has launched what it claims is the industry’s first 45in TV.

The Chinese manufacturer said that market research it carried out showed that consumers wanted a 45in model to be introduced, citing that 40in TVs are too small to fully appreciate 4K resolution, while 50in sets are often too large for many homes and can dominate the space.

Hisense said its 45N5750 TV, which has HDR10 technology and is Hybrid Log Gamma compatible, is set to plug the gap between 40in sets and 50in screens.

The TV can be connected by wi-fi or Ethernet, boasts a Quad Core processor and smart features including a full web browser, Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube and BBC iPlayer. It is also compatible with Anyview Cast and Anyview Stream, meaning consumers can share content between their phones, tablets and computers.

Said Hisense UK’s deputy managing director Howard Grindrod: “We’re delighted to offer this market-first product. It’s testament to our product team here at Hisense UK and around the world that we are able to spot these trends and cater for them so responsively and successfully.

“Over the next 18 months we are looking to extend our portfolio of products on offer considerably and this latest innovation is just one of the first developments as we aim to become a market leader.”
