Subscription-free satellite TV service Freesat has announced it will show the BBC broadcast of the Rio Olympic Games live.
Both HD and SD formats will be available across eight channels as well as through the BBC Red Button and the Freesat EPG (Electronic Programme Guide).
Jennifer Elworthy, Freesat’s director of marketing and communications, said: “We’re really pleased to bring Freesat viewers access to the BBC’s live coverage from Rio 2016. With eight live streams to enjoy, viewers will be spoilt for choice with classic events from track and field, to newer sports like golf.“
Eight live HD streams will be available on Freesat channels 261 to 268 and eight SD stream on channels 271 to 278.
