Elipson enters the headphone market

Loudspeaker manufacturer Elipson has entered the headphone market with the launch of its wireless In-Ear No.1 earphones.

The brand said that it decided to launch the earphones as part of a comprehensive roadmap of portable audio products.

The earphones feature Bluetooth 4.1 and aptX compatibility and can be fully charged in one and a half hour for listening to up to six hours of music.

Multipoint technology also allows two smartphones to be connected simultaneously, and the earphones are compatible with both Android and iOS platforms.

Said Neil Truckell, UK country manager: “Elipson has entered this highly competitive, but now more accessible market sector at a time when there’s no longer dominant brands. With almost 50 per cent of the market now being wireless Bluetooth, Elipson also wanted to launch with the latest technology and in line with market trends for convenience, comfort and compatibility.”

He added: “Elipson’s move into portable audio also complements its current success to date, with premium home audio loudspeakers, electronics and, recently, turntables, and will in turn increase brand awareness within a category that spans both specialist and mass-market consumers.”
