Don’t forget to vote for Tric Awards winners

Time is running out for ERT readers to vote for the winners of this year’s Tric (the Television and Radio Industries Club) Awards.

The deadline is January 31 – to vote please click here, fill in the form and submit it.

For the first time, ERT readers are able to choose their favourite TV and radio programmes and personalities.

The new voting platform is an important milestone for the Tric Awards, which celebrates its 49th birthday this year.

Winners will be announced at this year’s Tric Awards on Tuesday, March 13, at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in London. It promises to be even more prestigious than previous events, ahead of next year’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Said Tric chairman Richard Lindsay-Parsons: “Our partnership with ERT is incredibly exciting for Tric. It’s a significant step for the club, as it provides us with an opportunity to better align ourselves with the industry, strengthening our relationships. The new voting platform gives the industry, which has supported the awards loyally, an opportunity of further engagement.”

He added: “Last year, one of our objectives was to reinvigorate the club and our partnership with ERT. The input from Tric president, Lisa Snowdon (pictured), has been integral to making key changes in the right direction as we approach the 50th Tric Awards”.

Said ERT editor Sean Hannam: “ERT is delighted to be teaming up with Tric to offer our readers the chance to vote for this year’s winners of the Tric Awards.

“As the electrical industry’s leading magazine and a long-term supporter of Tric, it makes perfect sense for ERT to partner with the club, and we are looking forward to the awards ceremony on March 13, when the winners will be announced. Good luck to all the finalists.”

Tric was formed in 1931. It was established in the early days of broadcasting as the Radio Industries Club.

Its aim is to promote mutual understanding, goodwill and networking among those who are involved in the technology and related industries by holding high-profile events, and, in doing so, raise money for the good causes nominated by Tric.

This year Tric’s chosen charities are the Welsh’s children’s hospice Ty Hafan and Meningitis Now.
