Samsung Galaxy Tab goes on sale | Back |

Carphone Warehouse opened five of its stores an hour earlier than usual this morning so that people could collect the Tabs they pre-ordered.
Stephen Dalchow (pictured) from Malden became the first person in the UK to collect his Galaxy Tab at 8.08am.
Samsung gave Londoners a chance to ‘tube-test’ the Galaxy Tab on their journey to work before it went on sale Click here for more info and received more than 1,000 applications in just two weeks.
“We’re delighted by the interest we’ve seen in Galaxy Tab in the UK and are pleased that consumers will be able to buy the Galaxy Tab from a wide range of retailers as of today,” said Simon Stanford, managing director for mobile at Samsung UK and Ireland.
“With the device now in the shops over the coming months, we’ll maintain our focus on partnering with leading brands and content providers, such as our recent sponsorship of the Take That Progress Live tour next year, to ensure our customers can continue to enjoy a great range of content on their Galaxy Tabs as well as our other mobile devices,” Mr Stanford said.
