Retra conference hailed an outstanding success | Back |
Electrical retailers’ association Retra has hailed its 51st annual conference as an “outstanding success”.
Held at the Wyndham Grand London Chelsea Harbour Hotel, the conference was split over two days and attracted 280 delegates to listen to a wide variety of experts speaking around the theme “Making it Happen”.
“I am delighted that this year’s conference was such a success, and I hope that the 280 delegates found the speakers as informative and interesting as I did,” said Retra president Steve Norman (pictured), who organised this year’s event.
“I have received lots of positive feedback already, and would like to thank all the speakers for the advice and information they gave – I’m already looking forward to next year’s conference.”
He also thanked conference sponsors for their support.
Retra chief executive Bryan Lovewell also praised Mr Norman for doing “a great job with this year’s conference – a fantastic selection of expert speakers, who offered practical and real opportunities for members; all in a superb location”.
An auction for the presidents’ nominated charity, Great Ormond Street Hospital, raised £10,300.
Next year’s conference will be held at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Hotel on April 16-17, 2012.
