LG Electronics has revealed that it is the official garment care supplier of London Fashion Week.

During the week – September 16-20 – LG home appliance staff will provide a “steam team” to help designers backstage.

Said LG marketing communications manager Dawn Stockell: “This partnership will allow LG to speak directly to people who will benefit from the New 6 Motion washing features, positioning LG as the expert in premium garment care.”

Introductions to LG’s 2011 home appliance range earlier this year included washing innovations such as 6 Motion Direct Drive technology.

Caroline Rush, chief executive of the British Fashion Council said: “We’re delighted to have LG on board as our official garment care supplier; their expertise in the industry is unrivalled.

“The trained ‘steam team’ will provide support and assistance to our designers, making sure that al of this season’s fabrics are shown at their best.”
