The Europe-wide ban on sales of Samsung’ s Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet device has been temporarily lifted while the German court that imposed it examines its legality.

It is widely reported that the regional court in Dusseldorf, which issued the injunction following a claim by Apple that the Samsung product infringed its patents, is checking if it has the power to issue a ban outside Germany.

Samsung is due to appeal against the injunction next week.
