Vogel's powers gaming marathon

Vogels TwistDock

TV stand and bracket maker Vogel’s has announced a move into the gaming sector.

The company is bringing out the TwistDock a docking station for Sony’s PlayStation 3 console that will keep PS3 controllers continuously charged.

To make the point, Vogel’s is using the TwistDock in a new Guinness World Record attempt for non-stop gaming.

On Friday (July 16) at Dixons, the largest chain store in the Netherlands, six champion gamers will spend the entire weekend, day and night, playing Red Dead Redemption on the PS3.

They will try to beat the current world record of 40 hours for a racing game while the TwistDock keeps their controllers continuously charged.

The one who breaks the record will receive a Euro 1,000 prize plus a TwistDock docking station for the PS3.
