Sony is backing the ERT Industry Awards 2010 and encouraging its members to enter the prestigious awards programme from the publishers of ERT magazine.

Andy Benson, commercial director of Sony UK, said: “Sony UK has been proud to support the ERT Industry Awards since the inaugural event.

"This year we are pleased to be sponsoring the Best Independent store and Best Independent salesperson categories. These categories truly represent what the awards stand for, recognising the best in retail theatre and the best in customer service – both of which are close to Sony’s heart.”

He added: "The team at Sony will certainly be putting forward nominations in both retail categories and I would urge the industry to get behind the awards and nominate a retailer or manufacturer that they feel has made a significant contribution in the past year. Go on, get scribbling.”
