Retra president Shaun Barrett has welcomed manufacturers that have introduced selected distribution agreements.

Speaking at the Retra conference in Birmingham this afternoon, Mr Barrett told delegates: “It’s pleasing that, at last, some of the leading manufacturers, of both brown and white goods, have decided that they want to protect some of their product lines and they want these products to be sold in bricks and mortar outlets that can offer proper service, with good sales advice, knowledgeable sales people and a demonstration for prospective buyers.

“How can a customer get the best visual and audio experience of the latest 3D high definition technology, not online, but in-store.

“Retra and I fully support and endorse these new distribution schemes from the manufacturers, who wish to distribute their products in this way.”
