Google technology chief to open Intellect conference | Back |

Google UK’s head of industry technology Kevin Mathers is to open the 2010 Intellect Consumer Electronics Conference in London on July 8.
Mr Mathers will also join the conference’s “Connected TV Panel” alongside the BBC and Freesat to update delegates on Google TV and discuss the future of the connected TV market.
The confirmation of Google on the conference agenda finalises the speaker line-up following the announcement last week that new communications minister Ed Vaizey will also speak to delegates.
“The confirmation of Google really strengthens the speaker line-up and their view of how UK consumers will be using technology in the home will add real value for delegates,” said Intellect’s consumer electronics director Laurence Harrison, pictured.
“All the major UK retailers are attending and more independents are signing up, so it’s shaping up to be one of the best events we’ve had.”
