Phones 4u at Currys

Phones 4u branded areas are to be rolled out to all Currys megastores and some of parent company DSGi’s two-in-one (Currys/PC World) stores following a successful year-long trial.

It will mean, said DSGi, rolling out to a least 50 more stores this year with more to come in 2011.

Phones 4u ad DSGi said they also planned to extend the concept to other stores, of varying formats, throughout this year.

The partnership between the two companies was announced following extensive trials in megastores in Birmingham, Thurrock, Hedge End, Merry Hill and Stevenage.

‘Phones 4u at Currys’ will be staffed by Phones 4u employees and DSGi said it would continue to offer its mobile broadband options to customers separately.

“The ‘Phones 4u at Currys’ trial stores have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our customers,” said DSGi chief executive John Browett.

“Our new format stores offer an unbeatable combination of value, choice and service, and the introduction of Phones 4u branded areas at our stores represents an exciting new benefit for customers.”
